Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using the Cashloom website or services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

“Cashloom”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the operator of this website and the services offered through it.

Contact details are available on our contact page.

2) Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when changes were made. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

3) Eligibility

  • You must be able to form a legally binding contract under UK law.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account or applying to be a depot.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4) Accounts

  • You must not share your password with others.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5) Depot programme (if applicable)

If you apply to be a Cashloom depot, you agree (in addition to the above) that:

  • Your depot listing may start as Pending and only becomes active once approved.
  • You will store items securely, keep them dry/clean, and not open or use contents.
  • You will maintain accurate opening hours and access instructions.
  • You will cooperate with reasonable verification requests.

Note: Payment rates/amounts can be displayed in the app and may vary by job.

5A) Depot insurance and responsibility

  • Each depot is solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate insurance for its premises and activities, including (where appropriate) public liability and contents/stock cover.
  • We do not provide insurance for depots and we do not accept responsibility for a depot’s failure to maintain adequate cover.
  • Depots must ensure their insurance is valid for receiving, storing, and handing over third-party items on behalf of customers.
  • We may request reasonable evidence of insurance as part of verification or ongoing compliance checks.

5B) Independent contractor status and taxes

  • Depots operate as independent businesses/contractors and are not our employees, workers, partners, agents, or representatives.
  • Depots are solely responsible for determining their own employment status and for paying all taxes, National Insurance contributions, VAT (if applicable), and any other statutory payments arising from amounts paid to them.
  • If a depot engages staff or subcontractors, the depot is responsible for all PAYE, payroll obligations, insurance, and legal compliance relating to those individuals.
  • We may provide payment statements and may share payment information with authorities where required by law.

5C) Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, depots agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from the depot’s breach of these Terms, negligence, misconduct, or failure to maintain required insurance.

5D) Driver’s licence requirement

  • Depots (and anyone collecting or transporting items on a depot’s behalf) must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
  • The licence must be kept valid at all times while acting as a depot, and depots must notify us promptly if their licence is suspended, revoked, expires, or becomes invalid for any reason.
  • We may request evidence of a valid licence as part of verification or ongoing compliance checks. Failure to provide evidence may result in suspension or removal of the depot listing.

6) Payments

  • Any amounts shown are subject to validation (e.g., completed handover, confirmed weights/miles, fraud checks).
  • We may withhold or reverse payments where there is suspected misuse, error, or breach of Terms.
  • Payment timing/method may depend on your provided bank details and verification status.

7) Prohibited use

  • No illegal use, abuse, harassment, or fraudulent behaviour.
  • No attempts to access other accounts, admin areas, or systems without permission.
  • No automated scraping, probing, or denial-of-service activity.
  • No uploading malware or harmful content.

8) Content and intellectual property

The website, branding, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as permitted by law.

9) Service availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service.

10) Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a depot is involved, the depot is responsible for its own acts and omissions, premises safety, and insurance.

11) Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or for security reasons.

12) Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection rules require otherwise.
